Selecting objects with the Layers panel
When an object is located behind other paths (lower in the object stack), it is sometimes hard to select it with the selection tools. Fortunately, you can always select an object by clicking its icon or label in the Layers panel .
You can add more objects to your selection by pressing SHIFT+click on each item in the panel or on your document page, or SHIFT+click on an already-selected object to deselect it.

Tip: You can select all the objects on a layer by clicking once on the square icon to the right of the layer's name in the Layers panel. |
